Hidden in the deep valleys, Barot is one of the most serene destinations of Himachal Pradesh. It is the land of high trails, gorgeous forests, river streams and waterfalls. Anybody visiting Barot will surely be awestruck by its scenic beauty. The scenic landscapes draw travelers from across the world every year. Barot forms the gateway to the Nargu Wildlife Sanctuary which lies across the river. The sanctuary is home to the rear Monal bird, black bear, Himalayan ghoral and a variety of pheasants. Barot is also famous for trout breeding and trout fish farms.

Three artificial lakes including one reservoir on Uhl river enhance the beauty of this magnificent hidden treasure. An old fountain channelizing the waters of Uhl river, erupting at the regular intervals is another source of attraction.
